Tyler Zuber: Active Mets Roster Pitcher (2024 - 2025)

John Tyler Zuber was born June 16th, 1995, in White Hall, Arkansas. 

The five foot, eleven right-hander attended Arkansas State University where he holds the school record for second most strike outs (285). In 2017 he was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in that years amateur draft. 

MLB Debut: Zuber made his debut during the Covid-19 shortened season, making 23 appearances. 

On August 8th, he gave up a run to the Twins but still earned his first career win pitching an inning of middle relief. Zuber went 1-2 on the season. In 2021 he made 31 appearances going 0-3 with a 6.26 ERA. He held right hand batters to a .192 average while lefties hit .308.

A shoulder injury sidelined him for all the 2022 season. 

In October he was placed on waivers & selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks. He was released
picked up by the Cleveland Guardians & releases at the end of Spring Training.

In April 2024, Zuber signed on with the Independent League, Long Island Ducks.

In May his contract was purchased by the Tampa Rays & pitched at AAA Durham. 

On July 22nd, Zuber was brought up & pitched his first MLB game in two years. He gave up a HR to Juan Soto in a 7-3 loss to the A.L. New York team in the Bronx. 

He made just one more appearance in pitching two scoreless in a 2-1 win over the Reds. He went back to the AAA Durham.

Mets Career: On July 30th, he was traded to the New York Mets where he pitched at AAA Syracuse going 0-3 with a 12.43 ERA in 21.2 innings.

Family: In 2022 Tyler married his wife, Ashton (Williams).
